Oracle Database Architect to design, implement, support and maintain a large, complex Oracle database and work together with application development team. Applicant must be a strong DBA, proficient in performance tuning, database design and architecture, auditing, backup and recovery. Must demonstrate detailed knowledge of Oracle version 10g, Oracle RAC, Grid Control, and must be proficient in SQL, and PL/SQL. Must also have experience with Java Application development utilizing Object-to-Relational mapping techniques. Applicant must have experience in both Online Transaction Processing databases as well as Operational Data Stores.

1. Analyze database (model or instance) and SQL's to enhance database performance.

2. Evaluate database server configuration and recommend performance and tuning modifications.

3. Collaborate with Development team to design extensible data models to fulfill application and performance requirements.

4. Review, approve and implement all database DDL change requests.

5. Respond to performance complaints and resolve quickly

6. Develop procedures and processes that will monitor and maintain database health, availability, performance and recoverability.

7. Create, review, optimize, and trouble-shoot complex queries.

8. Establish required instance, schema and model standards.

9. Ensure that all data model changes conform to the standard and not causing performance problems.

1. Certified Oracle Database Professional

2. 7+ years experience in Database administration or application development

3. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math, or other related technical or scientific discipline

4. Expertise in Database Tuning, including database configurations, OS configurations, Disk configurations, and SQL.

5. Experience in working with Application Development using Object-to-Relational Mapping technologies

6. Must be knowledgeable in the principles, methods, and techniques used in all phases of database development.

7. Proficient in Data Modeling tool, such as Erwin.

8. Excellent communication, team skills, and strong work ethic an absolute must.
